TexStar Exotic cattery has been WONDERFUL during the entire process of me finding and getting a kitten from them.
Terri talked to me about available kittens and what exactly I was looking for in terms of fur length, gender, etc. And went over the personality of the kittens they showed me. They answered so many questions with no issue. They were also understanding when I got sick! When I asked for extra pictures and videos because I couldn’t decide between 2 kittens, they sent them to me.
And Terri also sent me a long message with info about my new baby, a list of things that would help the transition, things that I could buy that he would like, etc.
But I think the best part was after I picked my new baby up. I was worried because I’ve never traveled a long distance with a kitten, and I was freaking out. But both Sherri and Terri literally kept in touch with me my entire 10.5 hour drive home, to make sure me and my baby were okay. They even gave me tips on how to make it easier for both of us. And even after getting home, she checked in with me to make sure I was 100% happy with my kitten!
Terri has checked in multiple times to make sure I am good and most importantly, that my boy has settled in well. This was by far the best experience I could’ve asked for. Out of the breeders I spoke to before choosing, they were the most helpful, and willing to answer my questions.
And any worries I had of working with a cattery (due to stories I have heard) were just washed away completely by working with TexStar Exotics.
If you want an Exotic or Persian kitten / cat, I can’t recommend them enough. I am in love with my little boy! His name is Luigi, and he is a longhair exotic kitten who is about 10.5 months old. He came to me completely socialized, he wasn’t scared of me, he let me pet and hold him, and he was actually really great on the car ride home. And once we got here, he acclimated to my dogs and my cat as if he’d known them forever.
I’ve never been around a kitten so socialized before. He came to me litterbox trained too. Since then, he has bonded to me so well! He follows me around and likes to wake me up for cuddles. He lays on his back like a baby and loves belly rubs!
I just couldn’t have wished for a better cattery to work with, or a better kitten to bring home. I am so happy with this whole experience!
